Janice Wan

Psychotherapist/Counsellor, LCSW, MSW, BSW

Janice has been a licensed psychotherapist in the USA since 2002. She holds a Masters degree from the University of Pennsylvania and Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.

 

Janice has more than 10 years of clinical experience. Previously, she worked in a multi-cultural counselling organisation in California as a licensed psychotherapist and registered supervisor. She counselled individuals, families, and children with different life challenges, including but not limited to depression, stress and anxiety, grief and loss, adjustment problems, PTSD, marital discord, parenting and relationship issues. In addition, she provided advanced trainings and supervision to other clinicians.

 

After relocating from California to Asia, Janice has worked as an EAP psychotherapist, providing counseling to expats and their families in dealing with various life challenges faced while being away from their home town. In addition, she has delivered numerous training programs related to work-life balance and stress management. She has provided coaching for multi-national companies' management teams to deal with organisational crisis. As an expat herself in the past 7 years living

in multiple countries (China, Japan, and now Singapore), Janice understands the unique issues faced by expats from her professional and personal experience.

 

Janice employs an eclectic approach based on person-centered (Rogerian), strength-based, and cognitive-behavioral techniques,

according to the needs of the client.

 

Janice speaks fluent English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
