Shanti Achanta

Shanti’s first degree is a Bachelor of Arts with a Psychology major from Andhra University, AP, India. She also holds a Masters degree in English Literature. Her deep interest in counselling led her to take up her Masters degree in Guidance and Counselling from Singapore Campus of James Cook University, Australia. She is an Indian by origin but has lived in various cities in India and abroad for many years now, Singapore being home for the past 6 years. As a global nomad, she appreciates the challenges people experience when moving and living abroad.
Shanti’s interests lie in issues related to parenting, relationships and marriage, transition, and cultural adjustment. She provides counselling to individual adults, couples and families.
Shanti sees her role in the counselling process as that of a guide. She believes that everyone is capable of discovering solutions from within themselves to resolve the crisis they face. She adopts an integrative approach in order to help the client reach their potential.
Shanti is fluent in English, Hindi and Telugu.
