Dr Viki Sullivan
Chartered Clinical Psychologist, DClinPsy, MA Hons (Psych)
Victoria holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh (UK), and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) from the Universities of Coventry and Warwick (UK). She is a chartered clinical psychologist registered with the UK Health Professions Council. She is also a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology of the British Psychological Society, and the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.
As a clinical psychologist, Victoria is experienced in working with individuals, couples and groups across the life span. She has worked in a range of inpatient and outpatient public and private healthcare settings. She provides psychological therapies for all mental health issues, as well as life concerns including, but not limited to, loss, adjustments and transitions, self esteem, stress, and relationship problems. Victoria also has a special clinical and research interest in eating and weight disorders.
Victoria has been trained as a scientist practitioner, and this means she uses the research evidence available, in combination with her own clinical experience, to deliver effective psychological treatments that are tailored to the needs of the individual. In doing this she utilises techniques from different therapeutic approaches; behavioural, interpersonal, cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, dialectical, humanist, to address specific problems. Victoria strongly believes therapy should empower the individual by increasing their understanding of the issue for which they sought help, as well as providing techniques to help them manage in the future.
